Vibrational astrology (VA) was created by David Cochran who has since changed his name to Santino Mancuso. VA is scientifically based in that a meaning isn’t given for anything until it’s been researched. Research is done by searching an astrological database using only AA rated charts for whatever the criteria is being researched. The biographies are then compared looking for a common thread.
VA extensively uses harmonic charts, midpoint patterns and very tight multi planet stelliums. They have their own very different rules for looking at charts than ancient or modern astrology. For example, they use extremely tight orbs and only read a pattern if it involves 2 or more planets of a certain type of aspect. The only exception to the rule is the single Quincunx aspect.
David Cochran wrote the software program Sirius to help research harmonic data. He has since lost ownership of the program and no longer writes updates for Sirius. Linda Berry wrote “Frequency Finder” which is an add-on to the Sirius program. It will find and summarize relevant patterns in a chart and find the strongest harmonics. She is currently in the process of major updates to her program which will add much more functionality and include the ability to find planetary interweavings.
Santino is now connected to the Cosmobiology Institute. As per the website; “The Cosmobiology Institute is dedicated to the empirical verification of relationships between cosmic phenomena with organic life, and to the practical application of these observations and discoveries”.
VA is still rather new as far as astrological branches go and is constantly growing with all the new research being done. As better information is found definitions are updated. At this time there aren’t any good books on Vibrational astrology, as the information has already become largely outdated in the existing books. The best source of current information is Santino’s YouTube channel; Evidence-Based Vibrational Astrology. I don’t believe Santino is teaching any more; he’s focusing more on research.
